Lunar Equinox (LNRE) are an amateur Rocket League team. They currently compete in Rocket Sundays (RS) as a member of the Elite Tier (Ruby Division), and play in dark purple and white colours. The original representative of Lunar Esports, LNRE are currently in their sophomore Rocket Sundays season after becoming unbeaten champions of the Challenger Tier in RS11. The team's first match took place on 17th November 2021 as LNRE were defeated 1-3 by Orlen Hot Dogy in their opening fixture of the RS11 Elite Qualifiers - this cost them automatic qualification to the Elite Tier, but LNRE astonishingly went on to win all fifteen of the matches they played after this fixture in Season 11. The playoff final itself was a 4-3 victory over future org neighbours Lunar Zaros (then known as FC Wanhoop), in a match broadly regarded as one of the most entertaining series played in RS Season 11. The event retroactively marked the first time that two rosters from the same organization had met in an RS playoff final at any level. Season 12 provided a different fate, as Lunar Equinox participated in Group H of the Qualifiers, taking 2pts and finishing last in a tough group containing PRDX, ASCK and XIM. Despite their fourth place finish, LNRE were manually placed into the Elite Tier by way of promotion as Challenger champions - they have entered the Ruby Division as the #9 seeds.
